The cut / copy / paste capability of Windows Clipboard works well for transferring a single item of data but is not useful if you want to move a lot of data or keep data longer than until your next cut or copy. Windows overwrites the Clipboard whether you were ready or not.

Clipboard Recorder improves your productivity by extending the windows clipboard functionalities. It works alongside the regular Windows Clipboard and records every piece of data that you cut or copy.

  • Access to your clipboard history is almost as easy as the built-in Windows Clipboard. Clipboard Recorder provides four easy ways to select the records: Popup Window, Floating Window, Menu Window and Main Window. Most of the time, you don't need to leave your working application to access your clipboard history! The selected clipboard records can be pasted to your working application directly just as if you have pressed "Ctrl + V"!
  • Supports a variety of formats. Including RTF text, HTML, CSV and images.
  • Supports Transferring clipboard data between computers.
  • Small and Highly optimized. Uses negligible resources.

To get started with Clipboard Recorder, all you need to do is run it. Once it is running it will add an icon to your system tray and sit back monitoring your system clipboard. Clipboard Recorder manages your clipboard history as lists of clipboard records. You can create more than one list of clipboard records, and move records among them by "Drag and Drop". However, only one list can be set as the "listening" list. As you copy any data from other applications to the system clipboard, Clipboard Recorder will capture it and store it to the listening clipboard record list in a compressed format. The system tray icon is also animated so that you know data is recorded.

Be able to record the history of your Windows Clipboard is only the first step towards improving your productivity. While some of the other clipboard tools also help you keep the data you have copied to the clipboard, you may need to switch away from your working application, select the needed clip item and then switch back to the working application to do the paste. With Clipboard Recorder, you will never need to leave you working application to get access to your clipboard history.
